Dave, they can come off seperate from the gearbox,may do awkward still fitted to the car though as there is bolts all around it.
All standard in mine Dave, keeping them though.
Not sure if the box is fooked though,car is quite a bit smaller than normal and either the prop is bent or the box is fooked,no il etc...so may be ok.

once have removed front prop rear prop, box cradle etc, you will need to undo about 8 - 10 13mm bolts holding the transfer box casin on, take it off then you will see the chain and "stuff" dunno how to take chain off though lol
