Yum360 finally breaks std rear diff
I thought you 4wd drive boys knew it all 
Once you got over 350bhp on a 4wd escort or sierra you have to change front diff/gearbox and rear diff ......if you don't it's never ending story

the ammount of money dave has spent on std transmission he could have got uprated items

Hey think it could be the front it made a bad loud bang as it went into garage...
Will have to take the bottem plate of and have a look inside and see whats what.
Would love it to be the rear the front diff is a shit of a job to do and l busted two fingers and losed both nails changing it over in Jan

Mark blew the original box and replaced it with 2nd hand unit Ł250
Then l blew up front dif and recon unit Ł80
Then l blew up gearbox Ł175.00
And now it could be front of rear
So lve spent Ł505
MMMM couldnt get a new uprated diff for that..
Roll on tomorrow and start pulling it apart again

Drove the car home but as soon as l put my foot down get a bang. Did sound like it was from the rear. But as l reversed it into garage it sounded more like the front diff of mini prop so not really sure.
Maybe gearbox but it goes in to all gear and no noises.
So think l will start with front diff and take the bottem plate of and have a look inside
Any ideas guys??

Then again i wasnt there and didnt hear the noise
If it was the rear diff it would feel like the clutch was slipping if it was a planet gear crown wheel bang like fook

might be i have seen them break before how can you sleep with out knowing what it is ?
