Default google image earth and NASA world wind

Not sure if anyone has come accross these two before. I have been using them for a couple of weeks and they are awesome.

The google one is about 10MB and the NASA one about 180MB.

They are software that use satellites to zoom into a location of your choice anywhere in the world.

They are real time cameras and go down to street level. Could be useful for people showing each other best streets to go to in certain cities etc.

The main thing they require are the are reasonable spec modern PC and are designed for Broadband. They also need the latest Direct X update which is a Windows update anyway.

Enjoy

Have used them both. Top programs!!

Can't seem to get as high detail on the Nasa one as I get on Google Earth. Zoom into London on Nasa and it looks shite. Or am I just not giving it enough time to load? Nasa seems to take ages to load the images.

To be honest I do prefer the google one. I am still learning on the NASA one as I can only use it at home due to it not liking to be run through a proxy at work. At least the google one I can use at work and have learnt a fair bit more about.

Hadnt realised some of the images were that old Matt

Google one is a con, you can only zoom in on pre set areas that are old ordinance photographs with any degree of clarity. Rest is a waste of time.
