Rwd
Steve FITZPATRICK FORD SIERRA RS COSWORTH 500+
JC FORD SIERRA RS COSWORTH 500+
LEE CATTERMOLE SIERRA RS COSWORTH 500+
4wd
RENTON-REDLINE MAGAZINE SIERRA COSWORTH 600+
NICK LEWIS SIERRA COSWORTH 500+
With the recent accident of Steve does this mean only 4 Cossies in the PF team for Totb, im assuming Steve wont be fit to drive. Are their any reserves standing by. Cant believe this is all we can muster other Forums are overflowing with entrants.
At least all 4 are quality cars & should keep the Ford flag flying high.

Just an observation....... 2 out of the 5 cars list above have S8 ECU's fitted
LOL, Wish my own car was fast enough to enter
I guess these days you need a minimum of 600 bhp to be "in the club"

Shame its got so unrealistic now with stupid money cars with pit crews etc...
Perhaps someone should start another event that brings it all back down to earth a little as i for one would much rather go watch 20 quick cossies fight it out than the exotica that will be on show there!

Chavvy ? You need to explain that one Deano. Don't see many chavs with Ł000's worth of motors. Or do you mean the people who go to watch ? : if this is the case, you're always gonna get plenty of chav tw@ts at any show nowadays
I went last year and thought it was very good..apart from the toilet facilites & the overpriced food as always.
I'm going this yr too, except they are increasing the size of the event by adding a static display of cars...of which the S1 will be part of.
Yes, there may not be many RS's there...but that doesn't take it away from the fact it *should* be a good day out just like the majority of car events.
(I'm thinking the GT Battle a few weeks back: very few RS's there, but was a top day by all accounts)

I dont see many chav driving Vipers Evos Skylines etc etc do you
But my point was that at TOTB 1 + 2 it was free from all the fuckwits that reckon their Saxo in the car park could blaze round the handling course 5 seconds quicker than anyone else

Unfortunatly when it comes to the cossie team you have to have silly horsepower etc....or you can't be in the team period! Can't see why another 6 cars that want to be in it couldn't regardless of whether they have 400-500-600hp

Spadge,
Because that is what is needed to be competitive in the classes that Cossies run in (how many MORE times? ). 350bhp through the front wheels in a Vauxhall IS competitive in that class (just like the 350bhp Zetecs etc). The organisers want "ten of the best" for the spectators to watch, not "ten of the mediocre", hence why they want to see cars run a qualifying session to get in. The Scoobies ran one etc etc, the Skylines have some sort of vetting system (not sure what, but they always field 10 quick cars).
The fact of the matter is that there are limited spaces and the event is over-subscribed and the organisers don't want cars in that aren't going to be a good spectacle. This means they get to chose what is good enough.

Ten of the best to me means the best ten cars you could get to actually run not the ten you dreamed about entering The others are not the best of anything if they are not fit to compete.
Maybe the organisers should look at their entry criteria if as you say it is them that say what times etc...the cars must have done to take part!
My main point however is that i am sure a 'grass roots' event a bit nearer to what totb was like in the begining would be very popular with the right format etc..

I wasn gonna go up there this year, as my mte is running in ti (200+ club entrant, Audi S4, 450+bhp IIRC) and can get day passes, but it's the day before I start a brand new job, and York is about 4-5hrs drive each way, so not going to bother.
I totally agree with Spadge tho, it is TEN of the best, so why limit yourself to only having cars with 500/600bhp and end up with 4? why not add another 6 cars, okay you might end up with ones around the 450-500mark but at least you have TEN.....

ppl are obviously not listening to mike so i wil explain so ppl can understand on my level
totb organisers deceided what the qualifing times were needed for fwd,4x4,and rwd
now my 350bhp is good enought to compete in the fwd class because there is lots of about 300bhp cars in my class that means that my car is as fast or faster than some of the fwd cars there
the 4x4 and rwd classes are in the 500+ to be competetive so if your cossie cannot do them times then totb ppl do not want to know they want a car faster than yours
the coment on its ten of the best not 4
well if only 4 cossies are good enought thats all hey want its not ten of the best cossies your just entered into a big pool of cars
