apparantly the quality of deflex has much improved over recent years. Though I have no personal experience of them.

Done a couple of cars in deflex and can't fault them either. I always pay the 10% extra and go for the stainless inserts.

Powerflex are just overpriced because they had the market to themselves for a long while. Stupid money for some injection moulded silicone/plastic!

Top mounts in my car (saph) popped out too, seems to be a common problem, well on this thread anyway. All the rest have been ok....so far.

I bought Powerflex top mounts for the front and can see no way to make them fit. Any ideas?

The back axle of my car has Deflex bushes in and the quality seemed on a par with the Powerflex stuff at a fraction of the cost, but 3 weeks ago I ordered Deflex rear spring pads, anti-roll bar bushes and exhaust hangers and they just arrived today - sad to say, they don't look great at all - voids and bubbles all over the place.

full deflex escos kit on mine, i had the full powerflex on my saph 4x4 and tbh, there is no difference in quailty, deflex cant be faulted and almost 1/3 of the price and they have a lifetime guarantee

By top mounts do u mean strut mounts? Apparently, these are a bad idea - and u should replace them with new ford ones. There is nothing there to flex as such - ie geometry doesnt change, which is the whole point of stiff bushes. Mounts just make for a harsh ride.

i've done Deflex all round my Sapph except for strut tops..
No complaints from me at the price
on your shelf they may not look quite so pretty as Powerflex, but they aren't on my shelf, they are on my car , and the fit and performance are fine

I had them on my series 2 and they were dead on. Far better priced than the powerflex ones!

fit was crap on a s2 I fitted them to & the front outer tcas ones on my sapphire 4x4 cos collapsed & felt like the wheel was going to come off.
superflex ones from rally designs have always been fine but I prefer the powerflex ones despite the price.
never had any problems with the performance or fit

ian, how did they "collapse"?? if the support washers are fitted either side, it's hard to see where the bushes could go??

im using a full set apart from standard front strut top mounts, they seem really good, imho powerflex are way overpriced, probably covering the advertising cost of classic fords back cover every month! Deflex's took a long time to arrive though, lots of people moan about there customer service, i had to ring a few times and chase them up.
