right in the big ford cosworth workshop manual it says to tighten the cam caps to cylinder head to 8 to 10 nm
whats that in pounds

cheers guys now where do you get a torque wrench that goes that low as ours dont neither do any of the machine mart 1s

On mine, the "scale" starts at 10. Ie, you dial it ypto 10 with the zero on the handle. Wind it to "2" on the handle = 12 etc.
Wind it back to 7 (so its just below the scale)
Thats how mine works anyway

Just do it up a bit. That'll be OK.
IIRC the small halfords one I borrowed went this low.
The big one has a minimum of 60 though I think.
