Any PF Mountainbikers ....
What have you got and where do you ride?
i have just started getting back into it after about 5 years out of the saddle ( im gonna be sooooo fooked when i start propper again)
Just bought a Marin B-17 which should be a pretty awesome bike for the money... (which was considerably cheaper that ANYWHERE else )
(no piccies of mine yet)
just cant ride it yet as im waiting for the all clear from the docs after my op.
Just wondering who else on here rides and what have you got?
more importantly are there any riders around manchester/yorkshire who fancy meeting up for a few rides ?
gonna start off small really with the riding as i am so unfit just an hour or so a few times a week and then see what happens....
cant wait to collapse in a pool of sweat and blood after my first ride

I used to own a marin b-17, cost me 1150 quid fromleasure lakes in notts!!! Spent loads on it and then sold it when i owned my first car a mk1 xr2!!
Gutts me when i see people out riding so ive been thinking of giving it a go again!!
On my old b-17 i found the bottom bracket used to flex real bad when landing some big air,it threw me off once it was that bad, it was like a catapult !!
Get some pics up id like to see if its the same as my old one, mine was a pearl white with a red swingarm and red RST forks

I ride a Specialised FSR Stumpy Expert. With XTR chainset. Its good but could do with some customisation.
The area I live in has some simply awesome riding. Here's a shot of the San Juan trail.

Just got back into mine after a couple of years off. Used to race Sport/Expert XC but ran out of time with uni/alcohol/cars/woman!
I have an S Works M2 which I built back in 2000. Full XTR and custom wheels with Judy XC forks. Bit of a weapon in its time but a bit dated now!
Keith B - I PM'd you!

damn I need a bike again I had a gorgeous GT xcr 2000 with full xt set, but some pikey fooker stole it, and they even had the cheek to take the remains of my lock with them as well and the insurance only paid Ł100 back as it was in the small print, even though I had rung them to arrange cover
MAKE SURE YOUR INSURANCE COVERS THE WHOLE VALUE OF YOUR BIKE, it cost me Ł1300

Used to be well into my mountain bike and used to love it. Built the bike myself from a bare frame back in 93 after my Diamand Back died.
Snowflake laced Hope Titanium front hub with Mavic 230SBP rim. Nice and light.
Unfortunately some dippy bint wiped me out while I was on a ride Knees and hip haven't been right since. Got the bike from my mums now though and have been enjoying a play. With a nice wood within 100yds of my front door I should get out more often

I've got a nice dissused chalk quary at the end of my front garden
Some of the chalk cliffs are great but then the one I slid down lastnight could have hurt a bit
I was sitting at the top contemplating wether to go down or not then gravity made up it's mind. Unfortunatly the bike went one way and I went the other way. Bike stopped and I slid down on my arse
