For a change, I'm actually with Dingle on this one, anyone LOOKING for racist things to start jumping up and down on, IMO is the racist - looking to incite prejudice where none previously existed. It's people like you that CAUSE more problems (that previously weren't there) .
I judge everyone by their actions, not their colour. In my mind everyone is equal UNTIL they prove themselves to be bellends .
It angers me to the "fuming" point when I hear all this bollocks about the St George flag. If someone with strong ties to their country of origin (such as India or where-ever) was showing / wearing "their" nation's flag at a cricket test match or football match or what-ever, I would in no way be offended at their wish to support the team of their choice.

Racism
Racism (or racialism) refers to beliefs, practices, and institutions that negatively discriminate against people based on their perceived or ascribed race. Sometimes the term is used to describe the belief that race is the primary determinant of human capacities, or a more general attitude that individuals should be treated differently according to their race. Since the last quarter of the 20th century, there are few in developed nations who describe themselves as racist, so that identification of a group or person as racist is nearly always controversial.
The United Nations uses a definition of racist discrimination, laid out in the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination and adopted in 1965:
"any distinction, exclusion, restriction or preference based on race, colour, descent, or national or ethnic origin which has the purpose or effect of nullifying or impairing the recognition, enjoyment or exercise, on an equal footing, of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the political, economic, social, cultural or any other field of public life." ([1] (http://www.unhchr.ch/html/menu3/b/d_icerd.htm))
Racism is a controversial issue. Whether there is any validity to the concept of race is an issue that is discussed in the article Race. The issue of how and if past practices might be remedied is discussed in Affirmative action, and, briefly, in the reparations section of the article on slavery.
Well thats from the UN I think the quality of work is AWESOME
I loved Dukes of Hazard and i do recall masturbating over a full length picture of daisy duke in Hot pants ( it was last night DOH )
The confederate flag has been used and associated with many acts of racial hatred but as pointed out by many i feel its all to do with context
NO RACIAL INTENT
if the car had "ALL Niggers burn in hell" then it would be a racist flag because it is being used in a racial content ]
If its under the bonnet of clealry a Yank tank car fan then the context is that of American Muscle cars etc nothing more nothing less
Someone will now post a pic of Brad in KKK outfit with a burning cross in the background

i think whatever flag you fly someone somewhere is going to find offense to it, because of some stupid ruler or dictator or president that ruled under that flag!
I think people need to forget the past and start living in the present! Society today is nothing like it was! i think people need to change they way they think, i dont think the past should be forgotten and swept under the rug, as its shaped how we are today but come on............

If you're standing at a show, and someone pops their bonnet to reveal THAT cam cover on their cossie, and you run around calling them a racist, you need a bit of a reality check!
That symbol is no way recognised as universally as a symbol of racism in comparison to the Swastika...........
I think people need to take a step back here - Dingy, I sympathise mate

the swastika was not only used by nazi's. it has been in use much before that, although now it is unforunately almost universally associated with the nazi party. it's origins are entirely peaceful.

I have to agree with what steve said, it's mainly a Yank thing and it's meaning. You guys really wouldn't know what the flag is about.
Is St. Andrews flag racist too?? I though I read somewhere back in the posts about this??
what's the turn around time for one of those painted cam covers? is there a limit to a design??
