My dad has just got a nice big fat £100 parking ticket as he stopped outside some offices to pick up some clients (hes a chauffer incase you dont know.)

Now you may think this is not anyting odd, and he probably did deserve the ticket.

Untill I tel you he got this ticket though the post. Yep a warden didn't even issue this ticket. Infact he was sat in the car for 90% of the time he was parked up. So where did this ticket come from??

A camera down the road.

It automatically took a photo of the car, timed how long it was there for, and issued the ticket for £100.

i have had one of them aswell,on the romford road coming back from the mother in laws,2 lanes one is a bus lane,car infront of me stops as he wants to turn right,i go round him,so have to go into the bus lane to do so.i got a 60 quid fine threw the post

btw if it is westminster the ticket was taken by a warden and ya dad drove off so it never hit his screen, loads of chauffers do as the old law was the parking ticket was a summons and had to be delivered by hand or placed on the car so if ya drove away ya never got it

ill bore ya wil all the crap another day, for now just give me the offence code and the name ofthe road it was on and ill tell ya what to say, ill also tell ya oldman how to get out of parking tickets he gets too , only works in westminster and with official chaufers too

the other week and i ended out above slough on the 355 forget the name of the place, beaconsfield or summit and i stopped to fuel up, bloke next to me filling his range rover i thought i recognise that boatrace from somewhere was behind him
in the que and when he walked out i said to the cashier bloke i thought i knew his boat of telly and he said yeah thats jamie theakston, hes in here all the while

RS CAT, London is the worst, my brother does courier work-a lot of it to London, just befor xmas he was down in london with a load on and stopped on a double yellow as there was nowhere else to stop, traffic warden there said unload mate you'll be alright for a bit. anyway he unloads and drives off thinks fair play to warden-2 weeks later gets bill in post for fine, phoned up and was told a ticket was left on van etc.

outrageous tricky but it doesnt surprise me.

ive been doin it for 1 year this month, the trips down to devon and cornwall, and up to the north east is great but due to the london trips, im thinking of jacking it in.

your actually "allowed" in a bus lane for "no more than 20 meters" and the cameras are sposed to have the recording software to prove it.
