st24 lack of power

Default st24 lack of power

anyone know about st24,s. seems a bit flat after 3 grand, how do i check the secondarie valves are working?cheers for any help

look down the right hand side of the engine, under the black cover you will see the actuator arm, with your right hand rev the engine to about 4 k you should see the arm move thus opening the secondaries, if not the control box (where the arm comes out of) is usually the cause as it gets cooked by the heat from the engine about 140 quid from ford and very easy to fit.
also while your there change the water pump to a metal impellor one to save your headgaskets from going tits up!

Mine did this, and it was the control unit that had failed - as the youth says, its under the plastic cover at the front of the engine
