Default Master DIYer's...

Going to make a start on the bathroom......... again.

Started it 8 months ago, well the demolition of what was an ok bathroom into an Iraq war zone

Need to price up for tiles, but i dunno how to work out the sq ft coverage

Any tips?

well, measure rectangles in ft, multiply one side by the other (2ftx6ft = 12sqft). Add all the rectangles (in sq ft) together then add 10% for waste and you should be more or less there

Best thing to do is probably measure on the generous side, get all the tiles from the same batch so they're the same colour, then return any unused ones.

PS: I hope I haven't got the wrong end of the stick here, teaching you to suck eggs

Nope, spot on Mr Frog (what is your name btw )

So 1 wall is 10ft(width) x 8ft(height) = 80sqft? So i need 80sqft of tiles for one wall?

yup 80ft is correct better get a few more to be safe

If you've chosen your tile you can divide their coverage by your area to see how many you need

As said above, that's spot on, allow for 10% wastage or so, but as I said, best buy more than you need and take back.
Make sure they'll let you take some back, some places are funny like that.
