Dont they are the same, pretty sure 16i ones are thicker

There were two types of rollbar on the 16i, the model was revised halfway through its prod run

I think the tiebar pick up points are different to an s1 as well

the roll bar set ups on both cars are completely different, the 16i had a 1 piece alu crossmember-the series 1 was split in 3 which was a plate either end and the tube in middle, the roll bar was thinner on s1 and the clamps weren't as sturdy.

the 16i was the better setup.

what it is ive just brought a mk3 escort 4 door (lol) thats been turboed and has a twin rollbar on it the cars rotten but i need the turb conversion for the missuis escort so how can i tell which rollbar it is for 100% definate as i want to advertise it truthfully
