Except at the end of the month, when you have to leave it with them and they'll post it back to you.

The form you fill out asks for the expiry date and seriel number of the doner vehicle tax disk, you wont need to take the actual disk with you, they will give you a SAE to send it back to them once they've issued you the replacement disk in the replacement reg number.

Bare in mind they will take both log books off you and ask swansea to issue you new ones (just incase you are selling the doner vehicle) they will let you keep the new keeper parts tho.

The receiving vehicle WILL need to be insured if you are taxing it at the same time.

clare thats just cause its getting tax, nothing to do with the plate

it will also need a engine if you intend to actually drive the vehicle aswell

try not to confuse people, if the vehicle already has tax and MOT then it can recive a personal plate

if the reciving vehicle does not have tax you will have to apply for the tax aswell meaning sending ya insurance off at the same time

Ginge, I dont see how im confusing him, someone above said he doesnt need insurance, im simply saving him a wasted journey as if he turns up at the VRO and the receiving car needs taxing, and he hasnt taken his certificate then they wont do the transfer
