Rocket Range Change Boxes????
Can anyone give me a bit of info on these, i was telling a guy i know how my rs gets flat out easily on long roads, he suggested getting a range change box, apparantly you can twist the gear stick and the final drive ratio changes..
Is this right??? Could do wiv sumfin to make motorways and big a roads a lil less noises and rev-tastic.
See i dont wanna put a type 9 in ma car, think the 4 speed rockets suits it well, and from rs's ive drive with type 9s in 1st gear had lil if not no real purpose..

hahaha managed to find one on gearbox mans site too, yep.. pretty dear lol!
so i asume the "axel ratio" makes the gears longer, im still learnin all the rwd terms so still not 100% certain what it does

Jack Knight used to do one years ago too...
zoso - try a V6 type9 out of a 2.8 capri, the ratios are much better with a higher first gear. You need to shorten the input shaft slightly to fit on a rs2000 bellhousing and into the crank properly.
