ME: Was discussing it with a mate tonight: there are several tracks over here that have trackday's and cups for various bikes.
Would be cool to enter as the unlikely ones and taking the piss
My mate who's been on track a lot and who is a very good rider tell's me that there are ussually 5 GOOD riders, 10 REASONABLE riders and 50 fuckwits with shiney leather with bumps on the back, matching helmet's and gloves, the latest material and racereps that CAN'T RIDE FOR SHIT!!!
So my idea is to get a CR500 supermoto with a longer stroke, make it look like shit (it probably already will) and start nailing the supersport brigade!
It'llbe cheap to run and to repair (I'm counting on atleast one crash per outing lol) and they won't see it coming!
SOMEONE:
How about racing against people that might be real competition.?
Trophy Hunter,
I finished top 10 in handful of races, but I knew I had raced well then.
Bet you go in the slow group on trackdays as well!!
ME:
Dear arsehole,
perhaps you would like to explain to me what real competition is?
If competing against 10K supersportbikes and riders with all the latest gear on a moto-x bike with a set of slicks fitted isn't then I am rather curious to see what is?
Perhaps I should clear up a few things for the hard of reading and those that do not a have a sufficient command of their native language:
I have mentioned 'the unlikely ones' and 'they won't see it coming' and by that I ment that most people, if given the choice, wouldn't bet on a moto-x bike racing the afforementioned 10k superbikes
The fact that I mentioned my mate who has been out on quite a few trackday's is because I have never attended one myself yet so technically I could sign up for the novice group but to uphold the spirit of sportiveness I won't, after all they won't be real competition now would they?
To elaborate further on this: the riders as described by my mate are apperantly the average trackdayregulars over here so rest assured I won't be trying to get my hands on any sort of trophy 'the easy way'.
The fact that you automatically assume that I would be out 'trophyhunting' say's alltogether more about your mentality than it say's about mine but I would like to congratulate you on finishing in the top ten in several races, I'm sure you've raced well and I bet your mum's proud of you!
I would like to end my reply with a quote courtesy of one on England's finest:

Dearest Kim,
Pray do tell me where I have apologised in earnest to this particular member of bikerclub.co.uk?
And no, I'm not proud but I did think it was funny BUT even if I had been proud that still wouldn't mean I wouldn't apologise if I saw a reason to.
I have found that many a relationship can be kept healthy by apologising for things you either didn't do or are actually proud of doing, this seems to work quit well with females in particular!
