I fitted my opligger box nearly 3 years ago and kicked it's teeth in since and it's great you think a second hand box at £250 and a day on your back or another £250 to fit it do that a couple of times including the towing inconvenience it's a mod worthwhile imo it's a fit and forget mod

It just doesn't make sense jay to keep replacing a weak gearbox with another weak gearbox only to be paranoid about it breaking again, how much was your oppliger box fully built up?

its all down to money like most things, finding a spare few k to chuck at a weekend toy is my issue, as something else more important always crops up.
yes not ideal arsing about fitting replacement standard boxes all the time, but so far ive paid £100 for each and have a spare few ready to fit when the current one goes bang!

I had my fill with the old mt75 4x4 gearbox . So over a winter two years back I did all the mods my self including the gearbox and fitted a skyline R32 4x4 gearbox iv never looked back it's a very big gearbox but it just keeps working and my focos is running Aprox 400bhp . It then started killing diffs so I modded it to a supra and no I did not use Barra Mr rip off .
