the coupe is a bit gay then?ok then but it still knocks the spots off a ctr in all performance tests!!!!
and the fiat hasnt broke down on me other than the engine blow and i have done 30k+ hard miles in it and it now has 94k on the clock!!
honda are known for building good engines but they are also known for building cars for grandads!!!!
have you tried to race this banana yellow coupe?if its a 20vt i bet you darent!!stick to racing hot hatches and leave the proper racing to people with proper cars!
You seemed to have missed your vocation in life.. im sure you should of been a stand up comedian

True if you go to a main dealer, specialists are much more reasonable & can do the cambelt change without taking the engine out for about £350.

and they're slow.
Figures from Autocar for 20VT:

Top Speed 149mph
0-60 6.0secs
0-100 14.5secs
30-70 5.4secs

Now I would hardly call that slow for a standard FWD car Rich! In fact I don't know of a standard FWD car beating those times ever?

Rich talking out of his ARSE again, residual values are crap???? doesnt this make them a bit of a bargain to pick up, brucie bonus in my view, two choices a fucked saff for 5 grand on a g plate or a nice looking 20v turbo with a nice interia on a p palte with like 60000miles on it, let me think???
prone to cracking manifolds- as opposed to all the little faults you get coming up on saffs and three doors every car has a week point

Talking crap eh?

Okay, so it's a cheap car to buy? So what?

Have you bought a manifold from Fiat recently then? That'll be £400 for the manifold then please. That's plus fitting.

The cambelt book time lists as 13.8 hours. Do you realise that at average London independant garage prices of £40 per hour plus vat, that's still £650!

And when was I comparing it to a Ford? AT least if the Ford has problems, you can take it in small doses, whereas most problems on the 20V Turbo are very costly indeed.

Dave - nope, that'll be the company car then. Cock

13.8hours if you take the engine out to do it yes but like I say, it can be done without going to these lengths & done in half that time However, yes in general they are can be very costly for parts etc.

So what you on about you spaz!?

Interestingly on the subject of servicing costs & hourly rates etc. In Autocar today there was this in the news in brief:

"Some UK Main Dealers are charging up to three times the national average for labour. Warranty Direct found a London BMW dealer charging £153 an hour"

Not many in centre of london, lot of the work gets shipped out to the outskirts, and you should see some of the insurance contracts someone we know recently spent 5k on a dinner and meeting with a insurance company, contract is worth shite loads, hourly rate of £80 for paint and bodywork!

which fiat dealers you been to then!!they are £200!!!
cambelt isnt an engine out job!!fiat have lowered their prices recently cos they know it isnt either!!takes about 4-6 hours dependent on skill of mechanic!!not a job for your average ford mechanic though!!

exactly yuo fecking numpty??!!!
compare that to my friends 20v turbo which he paid £4300 for, full service history 57000miles already had the belt change absolutely mint in a lovely metalic blue compared to your white H plate shopping trolley (classic ROFL ) and i love fords mate but dont make me laugh, supercar looks for 4 1/2 grand or a fecking sierra, go play with yourself you anarack

I thought my point was obvious!

soooooooo sloooooooooooooooooooow
I just thought Type R's where something special (not knowing there hp output or raced one before making this assumption mind). Obviously i was wrong.

A std focus gives mine a very close run... but a Type R just gets embarrassed!! :P

So my point explained...... the focus was going easy on you

ps. Rust is good! makes the car lighter!

kev, when my coupe was std(220bhp) i easily beat a new 330ci bmw with 231bhp!!!bhp doesnt make that much difference!!i could give my coupe 400bhp(and more!)and it still would get beaten by a superlight r500 with 230bhp!!!
you came onto a ford site spouting off that you have beaten to fords, did you expect not to get a bit of stick???
