Default What rear brake pads for cossie??

What do people recommend?

I am running 4x4 rear callipers and was thinking of the Ferodo DS2500 pads but are they worth the £69.11 price tag?

What does everyone else use??

What power are you running ? We were advised Ferodo DS2500's on a 2wd stage 3.

But as Mike R would say, get the best you can afford.

Hopefully i will be running over 500bhp but surely the power will make no difference as the rear only does about 25% of the braking if that.

If using the standard sized rear discs on track, then you need some hard pads on the rear for the brake pads to last. If you go for bigger discs (like the 300mm ones we do - hint, hint ), you can get away with using something softer.

On the road, DS2500s will be fine.

I did 5 laps on the very tricky track in Poland rencently, also 10 stages of a rally with speeds up to 2000kph and haven't experienced any brake problems. I run DS2500 all around on standard sized performance discs from cossymad.

It is fast but not that fast. I ment 200kph

I did have opportunity to compare it to Clio S1600 on the track. Clio is about 4 seconds faster per kilometer of the slow track with most 2 gear corners. (I did use road tire though and not one of he best - Fulda Carat Extremo, and he used Michelin slicks)
