The TS was over taking on the inside and LOCKED UP on the damp track , went straight over the grass and lost the wheel on the crub before 't'boning the Scoob.

Funny how the driver of the TS woulnd get out off the car till the Marshal had hold of the Scooby driver

Not 100% sure, there were mutterings of a brake failure, but looked like he was just getting a bit excited, went up the inside and hit a puddle while hard on the brakes and as described above he just spun it, losing the OSF wheel as he spun through the gravel and smacked the Scoob.
Scoob driver was indeed a bit upset and was booting the windows etc on the Sierra.
Sierra in action before

Seconds after, I was taking a shot of the S1 in front of the scoob and just missed the impact.

Holty in action

The Sierra that overcooked it leaving the hairppin

Most of the accident including the lead up to it was caught on video. The brakes did not fail on the way into the hairpin. He was trying to overtake the smokestone blue sapph he couldnt pass for 2 laps round the track by shooting up the right hand side and was going far to fast to stop in time. Went right up the grass when he knew he wasnt stopping in time and spun it right into the Scooby.

IMO he was very lucky that Scooby had a roll cage or it could have been alot worse outcome.

At the end of the day it was driver error and not the brakes failing

Hockney..... did you press the brake pedal??? If not the how can you say the brakes didn't fail?? My mate Andy was driving and he is not a liar!

It was obvoius that this would happen on the forum... people giving their own opinion on the situation.

I own the car and i can assure you the brakes did not fail. andy had realed in the cosworth for two laps and was trying harder each lap and tried to outbrake the other car at the hairpin when he hit the puddle on the right hand side of the track ,the car then aqua plaine and from there on in he had no control of what happened. a bit unfortunate considering it was just a shake down of the car since we just finished it on saturday and i had not even driven it yet but thats life . The car will be repaired and back in no time

why did he have a total disregard to his and other peoples safety by overtaking into a corner on the right hand side, Basicly doing the exact opposite to what he had been told in the drivers briefing.
Not getting at you m8, but the driver of the sierra should feel ashamed as to his actions heading into that corner and I do hope he is paying for all the damage caused to the scoob.

It would be a nice guester to offer the fella some money or something, but would the scooby driver if it was him who crashed. Or would he just say accidents happen.
