Default inverter or genny?

which would be better. just want to run a drill and grinder. got no power in the garage.

how long would I get off a car battery?

Drill and grinder both draw a lot of power so an inverter fit to run them will be expensive and kill the battery in no time. I bought a 400w one for a toaster when camping and it won't run that.

would have to be a generator m8 , an inverter would eat batteries at that output required

A toaster would be about 1.5Kw and you wanted to run it from a 400w inverter

Grinder is about 600w isn't it - so a 1000w inverter would run it but obviously best with a generator

Yeah, I know about that now, but the inverter was cheap and the shop said it would work.

Now the local Round Table use it for the PA on the Santa float.
