Danny B knows Steve Pateman (the owner and builder) and I crewed for him at the European Finals at Santa Pod in 1999 when it was running low 9's

Its an amazing car to watch launch off the line when you are standing 10 feet away....

Steves calibra is super quick though, and considering it was built about 6 years ago- still VERY competative

That is about as street legal as putting plates and lights on a top fuel drag car and taking it for a MOT. Stick it on a track

It runs wrinkle wall drag tyres, technicaly street legal maybe, but its no street car really.

This is more of a proper street car in my eyes, esp as it runs 55 profile non-wrinkle wall tyres, no nitrous, and is only .1 second slower

Its a turbo FORD too

Vid here--

Won world ford chalenge 2004 and got some mega strict rules there to make SURE its a street car---

All participants go on a 30 mile cruise around town and then come back to the track and make 3 back to back qualifying passes. You are not allowed to open the hood or make any computer changes during the cruise or the passes...

Owned by the guy who supplied my turbo and soon to send me my engine managment

But it is MOT'd and taxed, the yanks don't have an MOT in most areas so the car is probably not to the same spec.

We run the same thing in the UK, but here they have to do a 'hot start' with no jump packs. It makes it a lot harder!. I beleive the route is through towns too.

DannyB will no doubt shed some light onto it.

Also there is a UK mustang with huge turbo being built so maybe we'lll see some changes!
