my brother passed 8 months ago and it is not all its cracked up to be,all you are seeing at the moment is the amount you COULD EARN,most of your working day is at night and weekends and its split all day long
ie you may have a lesson at 9.30am then the next one could be 11.30am then 1400 and so on,also you have to join a school when you 1st pass and you have to pay them for the car and petrol heres an example for ya
BSM £375 A WEEK just for a vauxhaul corsa then you are looking at £100+ for petrol.do it if you really want to but go with your eyes WIDE OPEN dont be blinkerd

BSM £375 A WEEK just for a vauxhaul corsa
there are plenty of companies that far far more competitive than BSM

the moment is the amount you COULD EARN
as with all buisness/self employed you only get out what you put in there is no clocking in machine here

also you have to join a school when you 1st pass
not true , its best to join a school when you first pass but you can open your own school straight away

when you pass from the training school you are still not fully qualified you have to take 1 more test of which 98% fail 1st time so you can go straight into your own school, sorry got that wrong 1st time, you have a pink licence but you have to take the last part within 6 months or you will shut down as you have not got your green licence go to an established school then after a few months you are tested for the last time and this test is HARD,also you only have 3 goes at passing if you dont you have to wait 2 years from when you took your 1st test and start again

first off any training school worth their weight will put you through ALL 3 tests before you teach , thats the way it should be done .

sorry but you are talking utter crap , especially with the 98% fail part!!

yes part3 is the hardest of all the tests and many people fail , up unitl this point you are not a driving instructor it is only when you pass part3 that you are qualified.

you have to go to an established school then after a few months you are tested for the last time
there are many more tests as a driving instructor , please think about what you are writing before pointing people in the wrong direction.

kam, just do it or u will always regret it. just make sure u pass and pay back the 3k asap.

the extra money u will be earning each month will be well worth a few quid interest!
u wont be in the office. u might get a cute girl to teach, ur driving might actually improve (which it needs to for the onion)

basicially u have little to lose except form the posibility of failing and wasting 3 grand!

How does it equate to £600 per week without working 24/7?

Lessons with BSM are £21 per hour around here, now think of the franchise costs to join BSM, cost of car (need to be converted to dual control!), insurance, fuel, tax etc etc

I'd say that would take at least £10 per hour!

You would have to work about 60 hours a week to be earning £600 before tax, let alone working 400 hours to pay off the instruction course which has a low pass rate apparently?

Then you got to put put with muppets all day

So the next 25 hours (on a 40 hour week) at £21 is £525 less 25% Tax + NI (est) £390 ish. Though I guess you could do more than 40 hours if you wanted.

I know I couldnt do it. Id be forever screaming

so you can go straight into your own school, sorry got that wrong 1st time, you have a pink licence but you have to take the last part within 6 months or you will shut down as you have not got your green licence go to an established school
miss read that bit

phil you have got the pricing a bit wrong, when you go franchise they pay for everything including insurance and there are a lot cheaper companies than BSM[AJ if you read this PM me mate if you are not tied into your franchise]

They wouldn't be able to do this properly as the instructor doesn't know how to himself
