Never liked that car in the first place, just not my thing at all, but it was a very well done car IF you are into that sort of thing.
As for the 200K+ it cost to build, im sure it did if you charge the time spent on it at 50 quid an hour like bodyshops do, very easy to believe a couple of thousand hours plus went into it all together, and then there is the parts cost and the dreaded vodka and tonic on top of that.
Personally though, i wouldnt have bought it for 7500 when it was still mint, let alone more than that now its fooked!
