SECS one reads information direct from sensors and has lots of cool warnings built in too as well as peak recalls for air, water, boost etc etc.
It will also drive water injection direct based on air temps and pressure.
Mike.. poor salesmanship indeed.

Yes, but they all have the positive and negative sides.
1. The Pectel monitor has to have a Pectel board in to operate, but can datalog for 1˝ hours, very costly and hard top find.
2. The Collins one has to have a Collins chip to operate, but can be purchased in a version that allows adjustment to ignition / fuelling injector timing.
3. The SECS one works on any of the Webber Cossie ECUs, irrespective of chip, but doesn't have data-logging or the ability to trim fuelling or ignition timing. Exceptional value (Ł257 delivered) and does everything Stu said .
How's that?

does the secs one display and reset fault codes?
if not, will the serial comms version?
will the serial coms version need a pectel board to work or can it do it on any chip...?

The unit continuously monitors sensors and checks for faults as well as user adjustable alarms and when a fault or alarm occurs, an output is energised to drive a lamp or buzzer to warn the driver of possible problems. The user can set alarms for HIGH BOOST, HIGH CHARGE TEMPERATURE, HIGH COOLANT TEMPERATURE, HIGH BATTERY VOLTAGE and LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE.
The seriel comms one is not ready for production as yet.
It now comes with a loom .

so the std just displays the settings similar to SECS and the pro one allows adjustments, this must be better when the cars on the rollers then. As i have a pre-set chip they only ever run it up.

Dave,
PM Matt Bell, as he has just received his loom and shoud be able to take a photo for you. All the monitors are already packed ready to ship (and I don't want to unpack them if Matt can oblige ).
All of the above have now been shipped apart from Martin's / Jo's, which will go tomorrow.

Jase,
The new new one isn't production ready and won't be for years .
And you just missed out on the Escort one, it is now sold .
Craig,
Will let you know if his cheque arrives in next few days, but the next batch will be ready in 1-2 weeks anyway. Best you pay for your one now before these are all sold as well .
