Fair enough Mike, but certainly for me and i'm not sure if I speak for others or not, but trust me its definately not jealousy, it just gripes me that someone like him may never know the real value of working or money etc which I think is important in life.

I mean if thats the way life is for him then fine and fair play to the kid, but I don't think he'll gain anything from being handed everything on a plate!

i agree tho, none of us would turn down the opportunity to live the higher life, and if you say you would you lie!! lol

the ppl that say money can't buy you happiness are obviously spending their money on the wrong things!!

real value of working or money

Y does he need to!?

I know I'd sooner do absolutly fook all & sponge like a coont then work my arse off!

I'd get my old man to buy me a bar & I'd sit back & shag the bar maids!

I can't believe you're dissing your cousin when you have even admitted he is a top geezer, and the fact that you call your Uncle a wanker for having money (which he no-doubt earned), is pretty despicable .

i think this thread just allows a bit of the green eyed monster syndrome to steam out!

This is how people react when they see people better off than them. They always play the luck card "Jammy git" "Lucky sod", the person is automatcially a "Wanker" or a "cock" but somewhere it's likely somebody put a lot of hard work in to get themselves and their family luxuries, luck rarely comes into it.

But I guess people feel better about themselves when they can blame it on luck.

Well obviously "good luck to him", but I think people are a little shocked, as it's not exactly a run of the mill thing.

Most people aren't jealous - their envious, and it's only human nature.

Tell me one person who wouldn't want that lifestyle, where you don't have to worry about the bills, the mortgage etc etc........

Jealous twats is all I see

Fair play to the guy, he has done well in life let him enjoy it and stop putting people down!

If I had a Ferrari at 18 i'd go and rev the thing outside your houses just to rub it in a bit more

That's because you're a bandwagon jumper Phil

How at 18 has he "done well in life". Surely that's called luck?

Well his family have done well in life then, nothing to do with luck unless he won the lottery!

And I thought I was lucky having a Cossie at 18

Obviously Gareth!

I was just illustrating the point that there's a subtle difference.

Take 2 guys for example.

1 gets bought everything, doesn't have to work, and just lives of the success of a father for example.

2 makes himself a mutli-millionaire by the time he's 21 through sheer graft etc etc.

Now no-one's saying either is more worthy of being wealthy, but if you're going to use wealth as a measure of success, then it's obvious that one is successful, and one is fortunate.

Not knocking him though - I could only dream of a 360 at all, let alone at 18! I'm sure if I had the money to realise my dreams, I would too.........

RichardPON, for all you know he could be the greatest businnessman in the world. Chances are he will be at uni until he is 22 and already has jealous people putting him down just because his father is successful, without the poor guy having a chance to prove or do anything!

believe people always put you down when you have something that others cant afford!

i bought my escort out of my own money when i was 20,,, worked and saved from 16-20 to buy it! as soon as i got it,, people thought i was given it a present,, believe me my parents couldnt of afforded too give me anything towards it,,, really pissed me off how everyone thought about me

i must stick up 4 myself ere.....
1)i payed the insurance on my cossie myself and bought it myself out of my own money parents didnt even kno so they didnt pay.
2)i am not jealous of my cousin i am envious and i honestly wish him the best and if you knew he worked down my uncles scrap yard 8-6 everyday in dirty oil and shit everyday and even saturdays u wudnt say he is a spoilt brat at all!!!!!!
3)luv my uncle to bits and he has worked his nuts off to get were he is......started as a saturday boi and worked his way up in a scrap yard.to eventually own it.and he cudnt even read or write and left school at 15.

so ppl may have their views on it but i say gd luck to him and he aint that shallow to sit outside someones house and rev his car like some pricks i kno

Yes, but Phil, they learned form the 348 and in 1994/5 wanted to make "modern" Ferarri's much more like their German rivals (Porsche), so with the 355 and 360 for the first time you could buy Ferarri's with 10 k miles/1 year service schedules - previouselly unheard of .......When you get your 348 I will give you Nigel's Cox's phone number, he's from Weston S-M and owned two 348's (now has a 355 and Cossie)....and I'm sure he did a clutch change himself without too much agro

Absolutely spot on phil!

Jealousy is THE ONLY reason to say he dont deserve it! So what if daddy has bought it? Daddy has earned at and spends it on his SON! Whats wrong wi that? I would buy my son one if i had the money!

Your here for a visit, lifes too short to 'make him earn his own money'. Hes born into it let him enjoy it!

Good luck to the lad with the Ferrari, I wouldnt say no to one.

At the end of the day it is all relative, 99% of lads are jealous of cossie/skyline/evo owners . At the end of the day there will always some one who will have something better or faster.
One thing for the ferrari chap, where will he go from there, there will not be many cars to aspire to now!!

Who said he didn't deserve it?

There is also such a thing as being humble in life too though. If he went to my Uni and drove there everyday in a 360, he'd need his head testing.
