18YO with a Ferrari-----anyone else think its unfair???

Fair enough Mike, but certainly for me and i'm not sure if I speak for others or not, but trust me its definately not jealousy, it just gripes me that someone like him may never know the real value of working or money etc which I think is important in life.
I mean if thats the way life is for him then fine and fair play to the kid, but I don't think he'll gain anything from being handed everything on a plate!

i agree tho, none of us would turn down the opportunity to live the higher life, and if you say you would you lie!! lol
the ppl that say money can't buy you happiness are obviously spending their money on the wrong things!!

I can't believe you're dissing your cousin when you have even admitted he is a top geezer, and the fact that you call your Uncle a wanker for having money (which he no-doubt earned), is pretty despicable .

This is how people react when they see people better off than them. They always play the luck card "Jammy git" "Lucky sod", the person is automatcially a "Wanker" or a "cock" but somewhere it's likely somebody put a lot of hard work in to get themselves and their family luxuries, luck rarely comes into it.
But I guess people feel better about themselves when they can blame it on luck.

Well obviously "good luck to him", but I think people are a little shocked, as it's not exactly a run of the mill thing.
Most people aren't jealous - their envious, and it's only human nature.
Tell me one person who wouldn't want that lifestyle, where you don't have to worry about the bills, the mortgage etc etc........

Jealous twats is all I see
Fair play to the guy, he has done well in life let him enjoy it and stop putting people down!
If I had a Ferrari at 18 i'd go and rev the thing outside your houses just to rub it in a bit more

Obviously Gareth!
I was just illustrating the point that there's a subtle difference.
Take 2 guys for example.
1 gets bought everything, doesn't have to work, and just lives of the success of a father for example.
2 makes himself a mutli-millionaire by the time he's 21 through sheer graft etc etc.
Now no-one's saying either is more worthy of being wealthy, but if you're going to use wealth as a measure of success, then it's obvious that one is successful, and one is fortunate.
Not knocking him though - I could only dream of a 360 at all, let alone at 18! I'm sure if I had the money to realise my dreams, I would too.........

RichardPON, for all you know he could be the greatest businnessman in the world. Chances are he will be at uni until he is 22 and already has jealous people putting him down just because his father is successful, without the poor guy having a chance to prove or do anything!

believe people always put you down when you have something that others cant afford!
i bought my escort out of my own money when i was 20,,, worked and saved from 16-20 to buy it! as soon as i got it,, people thought i was given it a present,, believe me my parents couldnt of afforded too give me anything towards it,,, really pissed me off how everyone thought about me

Jealousy is THE ONLY reason to say he dont deserve it! So what if daddy has bought it? Daddy has earned at and spends it on his SON! Whats wrong wi that? I would buy my son one if i had the money!
Your here for a visit, lifes too short to 'make him earn his own money'. Hes born into it let him enjoy it!

Good luck to the lad with the Ferrari, I wouldnt say no to one.
At the end of the day it is all relative, 99% of lads are jealous of cossie/skyline/evo owners . At the end of the day there will always some one who will have something better or faster.
One thing for the ferrari chap, where will he go from there, there will not be many cars to aspire to now!!
