Default Omex 500 and 700

Guys

Whats the differences between omex 500 and 700?, heard a few things about them since i had it fitted!

Namely, 500 is more like a piggy back chip and I know the 700 is based on a gems unit. Someone I know had their engine turbo'd by same ppl who fitted my engine management and only had the 500, the company saying the 700 is more benfit to the supercharger which a few ppl I know have it fitted as well!.

Also would price would you expect to pay for omex 700 to be fitted?

Cheers

Mark

700 is aloy more advanced, main issue it can control boost ( a friends 500 needs a boost controller to work on a turbo)

700 also can do anti lag aswell

if ya wanna know more speak to gary@APT, he knows everthing there is to know about omex, he used to have it on his 200 and he also fits it and maps it too

i belive christian (& beccy) had omex managment when he got 160+ mph, so ya could say it works

Omex 700 is pretty cool. However, 500 and 700 are both standalone 3D mappable ECU's. 700 is just newer and more advanced.

Fitting the 700 Series ECU is a mission. Omex quote about 3 days labour to fit and map I believe at about £400 per day! Best person to speak to indeed is Gary @ APT. He is registered on here, or can be found at www.ap-tuning.co.uk.

As B19 bal says, I was running 500 Series when I did my 160+ Top Speed.
