i can see myself changing my normal k&n for a group A one if they are that different.....

Had a nice discreet chatter when I had the dump valve still on....

Now have removed the DV, it is VERY loud!! So loud that my niece doesn't want to get in the car anymore unless she is bribed with a movie.... and she puts her hands over her ears... bless...

I have a normal K&N filter, not a group A.

ok heres a few FACTS about chatter !!!!!, alexzvhcabrio is the guy to speak to as hes kind of studied it on his car

a t34 chatters BUT its a lot lower pitch, more like a horses neigh than pigeons under the bonnet

a smaller turb increases the pitch of the chatter and also if ya fit a turbo heat shield that also increases the pitch of the chatter

max's car ( stage 3 t3 hybrid saph cossie) chatters alot higher pitch than mine ( same spec but t34 and running 26.5psi)

i HATED the chatter low pitch neigh , i fitted a heat sheild to my cossie just before central day and now it chatters higher pitch

the smaller the turbo with the same boost the higher the sound when it stalls

this is all based on my experience and also i modded my mates filter pipe to increase his chatter and it worked

so a t34 car with a norma K&N will be high pitch to chatter than my car too

 

Hi Mike,i got mine from Graham Goode,They Do Two Types of cone and trumpet,its two seperate pieces. I got a 70mm Trumpet and Escort Cossie Cone. It came to Ł135.14 inc vat and delivery.

Sounds soooperb rab,i got the hoooooooge group a k&n complete with trumpet from woodford garage .

 

This first pic shows the filter and trumpet,mine has been modded to suit my car,i had it alloy welded at an angle so it would fit in my inner wing.

was, ya got a bigger turbo on it now , lost a tiny bit of pitch

but its deffo loud, was mental before though

loudest chatter award has gotta go to max these days, wnt out in in suday, not only is that car foooooking mental for acceleration it chatters sooooo well

hybrid T3 with ported head and bd10 cams, almost no lag and just pulls and pulls

the kind of accleration that ya feel in ya tummy when ya goe down a dip in the road on a coach

so is the actual cone bigger aswell? or is it just the alloy pipe thats different.
