After looking at the post on the prototype engine that cosworth made, does anyone have any drawings or pictures of prototype 3dr's, saffs or escorts? would be cool to see some as ive never thought about it before.

Mike i have a couple of Vids of the histort of the cosworth and the escort cossie and there well worth a watch my m8 has them atm i'll get them back soon and if you want you can borrow them

I think ive got one lurking somewhere of the prototype Escos at its first motorshow - pic is in FF Jan 2000 IIRC.

Any prototypes of the Sierra Cosworths have been exactly the same (exterior) as how they were manufactured - i have no piccies of interiors - although the engine bay was slightly different, with cable routing etc

Excellent piccies doug, interesting to see that the 3dr didnt have many more drawings than what was released. i once read somewhere that ford had originally intended to use a wider wing, but was'nt allowed as it was too wide for the car. Cheers for making the effort. top man

Looking at that top pic......how many non Cossies did we see with rear whale-tails fitted during the late 80's/90's........allways unpainted (white), and often on 4 door Escorts, Astras etc
