Yeah, but I only started stripping the engine bay down last week so first time I've been able to properly inspect the damage.

Not 100% sure dan, had a problem with water temperature. May have been blocked rad or localised air lock. Thought it might be headgasket but it looks fine when I took the head off. Blew it up before I found the cause.
