Default FAO of cossie boys with big brakes

If you brake hard from say 60mph ish maybe a bit more does the poxy abs cut way before it should? As i was braking and car no way felt it was going to lock up just slow down V quickly but the ABS cut in and locked up a bit etc fookin crap!

Does anyone else suffer with over eager ABS? If so can anything else be done?

Check the condition of your brake pads, when there's no meat left the abs starts doing what you have described.

Think pads or ok, though will double check.

So if u just disconnect that plug it will stop the abs? Will the light come on though?

ABS takes you out of control of your brakes and that is big thing on extreme situations.

I had the same problem with mine cutting all the time so unplugged it.

I started thinking about driving with out it a while ago and so i plugged it back in to test it and it pissed me off with in 5 mins i didn't feel much improvement on a 70mph stops in to lay-bys so i've unplugged it again.

I feel that I can progressively brake more confidently knowing that it isn't judder if/when it cuts in.

cheers

Daniel

abs + 330mm discs + ap 6 pots + ferrodo ds3000's = holy fuuucccckkkkkkk i cant stop......

just ask sean bicknall about me at combe

the calipers bite hard, the pads are working very well .. the abs says nope im not allowing you to exert that much pressure on them discs ... its just like having brake fade

i cant say my abs is over sensitive tho .. if the pads are a bit cool then it will lock the wheels but in little bits.. but if every thing is nice and toasty then the above occurs

Apparently disconnecting the ABS removed the servo assistance to the rear brakes.
