Default wheels measurements
just got my new wheels today and they are 17's, was wandering how they are measured as the photo shows that they aren't measured from edge to edge?

That is about right as wheels are usually 1 5/8" larger diameter ans 3/4" wider than the "quoted" size.........

I.E. a 17 x 8 wheel will actually measure 18 5/8" x 8 3/4" overal size

Well look at it this way, your tyres will have an INSIDE diameter of 17". Wheel needs to be a bit bigger or the tyre will come off
