Its down to grip and luck
I was running 2bar on a T34, greys, antilag, and a few paddle clutches, on my 3dr and never blew a diff in 3years and i abused it like fuck, got thru clutches n tyres but never a diff.
I presume my diff was boggo so i guess it was down to having no traction so no stress on the diff, lol.
Or lots of luck

use standard in mine , re built it last year , only cost £60 to replace the worn parts from fords
mine gets launched quite often and the power comes in it comes in hard but still no probs . change the fluid every 2 oil changes and check inside when i get the chance to use ramps

There a dude around here who's modified our XR Rears and has put in a 8.8 IRC suspension, It's supposed to be the mutts nuts, I'm saving up to see how good it really is! My tuner put a BMW rear on his 538whp XR and hasn't broken it yet!

Intrestin this diff question. I have a lot of problem launchin my 2wd saph. Its got a paddle dunno wat make, and a T34 on greens. My mates are always sayin "u should launch it harder" but the problem is no matter how hard u engage the clutch not enough revs and uv got to wait for the turbo to climb on boost, and too much boost and it will wheelspin. Im sure a 2wd cos with a T3 and a standard clutch would launch better and be quicker off the line. Previous owner blew two diffs up i now have wat i understand to be a group n diff, holding up well(touch wood).

Launching is a skill that takes time to learn as for comparing 2wd with 4x4 theres no contest. Nearly all of my diffs have blown when launching and one wheel has lost grip thats how i blew a crown wheel and pinon into a million peices

I've just got a gripper now and it's cool but a little difficult to drive.
but before when i was using the standard diff i only blew 2 and i launch it at every chance i get also i side step it in second when rolling to really get going. they only ever blew (for me) on the gearchange into 2nd when it was tramping in first and then hooking up in 2nd.
But i think this was due to a knackered diff mount causing the diff to wind up and tramp like fook, cos i changed it and it don't do it now - but i've changed the diff now.
HTH

With 385bhp, I never had any trouble with diffs, but the second I went to 420bhp, I got through one every three months , until after a year and a half I gave up and bought a Quaife. I never had any problem with that, as I used a very good CWP and had it properly dialed in.
We supply the Quaife's fully fitted in your diff casing - breakdown: £805 (Quaife ATB) and £250 for fitting (including all new bearings, machining of casing to accept diff and dialling or "clocking" in as per manufacturer's tolerances). Obviously we cannot gaurantee the condition of the CWP that you provide, but will advise you of it's condition.

tiff, you need to listen to marco with regard to what diff, you know what he's like and his aint broken i aint saying here as i'll be wrong i think markk (another one who knows his transmission shit) is on the right lines with "thats the ATB for ya !!"
