s2 alternator
my s2 alternator is makin loads of noise (bearings by the sound of it) anyone know where i can get a cheap brand new one as my local motorfactors want £77 
for 1 plus my old 1 in exchange
any help appriciated

lewis thats all well and good but its not a erst alt
i can get ya a dynamo off a bicycle for 20 quid but thats pointless aswell
a granada scorpio one is alot more powerfull ( add a bigger batt too) but the adjustment arm is on the wrong side so needs modding to fit
the granada one is a stereo geeks mod from years ago that i had done on me old orion

the granny one dont fit either and neither doe the frst one as that has a different bracket
i was thinking about fitting a cossie alt witha efi bracket as that would work but would cost him more monet as he needs a shorter that erst belt but longer that frst belt and gonna cost him more than the exchange

the motorfactors said u can buy em outright for £125 but im a cheap skate so dont wanna pay more than £50
b19bal dont really need a granny 1 as my stereo dosent drain the batt too much (got a big batt)

haha, yeh sorry chaps... tis what happens when you just get out of bed.... brain still in la la land. Need a shower and a nice cold beer

I've just got myself another S2, she only a cheapy at £550 and is a little pink, but give me time... i'll have in tip top condition

b19bal batt is new and it sounds like the alt bearins are knackered so dont think the batt would cause that
