Default Just bought a Moonstone 3door!

100% standard right down to the exhaust, 65k on the clock, 3 previous owners, all MOTs from new, dry stored for 2 years, all original ford stamped panels, not a single spot of rust anywhere, not even under the bonnet, Interior as good as new barring the usual sierra dash cracks, done 3 miles in the last 10 months, tis cool

Clutch seems to be on its way though, anything to do with it being stood for so long, or is it just dying?

Nice one Steve, now get pics up before it ends up stripped and caged. How about transplanting your new engine and running gear into it

Fair enough if you are going that route with no sunroof.

But transferring over a tilt and slide into a normal shell isnt an easy thing to do at all.

Steve, if nobody wants it for a reshell, then please consider selling it to me for a "modest" profit

It would go to a good home, and I am bot bothered about the lack of sunroof, or if it is is Moonstoe etc.....

It would prob end up at ZOO with this bad-boy fitted into it:

Nah its not "real" moonstone blue (is it? personally cant tell without a real moonstone one to compare too, but presume its not), its that nasty pale blue colour (i dont like moonstone) thats nearly moonstone blue that old sierras came in

Just got to decide what to do with it now, cant belive its soo immaculate tho...

Chip, I would prob keep it looking exactly like it is now, with
only suspension and brakes done.........so not so much a replica -
but a proper sleeper

Fair enough.

Why not use it as a learning exercise and DIY it?

That way is cheaper, and i know how much you love saving money!

I got a number of things spinning thru my head with regards to keeping it...

Keep it looking stock.
Fake RS500 kit
Thundersaloon with fibreglass boot and bonnet too, and perspex windows.

My mental RB.
Or a 302 windsor and a pair of cossie T3s...

Not a YB tho

I love 3dr's, and getting bored of finishing my GTR, so keeping it im thinking about, but if not, well, Doug or whoever fancys it can purchase it of my good self

If i RB'd it I wonder what would be the best bet, RWD and the thunder arches, or the GTR 4WD? Or Both But I dont think I can afford both!

RB would make it faster, but more cost effective would be sell the RB for the fortune its worth and TTV8 it, pushrod power

Stripped and caged either way tho.
