Default calling all mountain bikers- i know you are there

After my last post a while ago I realised that there are a lot of MTB fans on this board, so I thought I would ask here first
I need a pair of gear/brake cable cutters for shimano cables, do any of you have a pair lying around you want to sell really cheaply
If you do please pm me with a price and I will get back to you

A pair of normal side cutters does the job nicely

halfords do a cyclo made one thats about 15quid, the real shimano cutters aitn cheap though


oh and a hint, get a get of decent pruning cutters as there concave too

most mtb people wont sell there cutters or any other specific tool as there the most important

the outer cable needs convcave cutters as the shimano cables have straight lenths of wireand not coiled like the brake cables to get rid of the cabeo flex so the gears can be indexed

I used to use a junior hacksaw as mentioned above but the preferred weapon of choice when dad wasnt looking was his high quality electrical pliers!
