There is actually nothing like a revving Lamborghini Diablo or a Group B Audi S1 quattro screaming down the racetrack.....
Wicked sound from those 5 cylinder engines.... And luckily we Norwegians can hear one at the trackdays all summer every year.... for the past three years...

Yep, the Ford Pinto engine in 8 or 16v guise on 45s or above sounds rude, but I don't mind the noise this makes on full chat (not biased or anything...)

I dont like going for bigger capacity in general, but theres a reason (which im not going into yet) this time...

Id never bother with 2.7/2.8 RB26 stroker kits tho, pointless and mega expensive IMO.
And dont get me started on OS Gicken 3litre conversions! fook that mess...

Deano- The 3litre conversions?

Bloody spacer plate added to make the block taller for a start!!!
Cyl liners isnt exactly ideal either! (Reminds me of IMA )

RB26 blocks are mega strong, but once you adding spacers and liners thats a bit out the window!

And MEGA money.

Fook that! Even in Japan they using RB30 blocks now on GTRs, the OSG conversion seems a waste to me.

Well I find that odd , Rod built the very first OSGiken RB30 in the uk when he worked at Middlehursts and the car is still going strong has done over 80K and even took part in TOTB 1

Not only that this pic below certainly doesnt say WEAK to me

I asked Rod about this engine set up ( below ) and he said it was pure DRAG only

Those Skybus engines are hardly production and still dont rival the Ferrari's sound.

Running liners and a spacer plate isnt my idea of class, and esp when paying the crazy amount it costs.

Might be drag only, but never seen a really special time out of a OSG RB30, extra capacity in drags not really worthwhile anyhow unless cost is an issue, esp when RBs can rev to 12k+, more than enough to keep then Turbos in the powerband

Just sounds like a huge turbo to me. Great if that's your bag, but the Ferrari, Lambos, etc sound incredible even at low rpm. There was a lowley 348 in the petrol station the other day, the bark of it just pulling away was amazing
