Default anyone ever done an oil change on a laguna ?

went to do an oil change on the laguna (v reg RT Sport) i got a complete renault service kit, got a haynes manual) went to look for the sump nut, but no nut instead a wierd looking thing under the sump with looked like you need to use a rachet or square screwdriver or summit to undo, is this right?

yep thats correct, its an 8mm square drive.most car spares should carry one if your stuck,or see if you can grind down an old 3/8 drive extension. most renaults, peugeots, citroens have this plug

french cars utter wank, all of them , I went to do an oil change on my old ren 19 16v, found the square "dont tamper you eeeenglish types" sump plug , so thought fook it can't be arsed, and left it I did 40,000 miles with no oil or filter change, as it used a litre every 2000 miles anyway it was always getting clean oil I HATE french cars, everything is back to front, upside down and weird sizes, and made of the most brittle plastic know to man
sorry, going off on one there , as said above most car part sellers stock the plug removers, have fun

French cars Mate had to change the glow plugs on an X reg xantia, well say to sayu that it was a mission is an understatement, you have to take oiff about 5 pipes and various other things that are blocking the way . Also if you loose a spanner down into teh engine bay, forget it, its proberly eaten it
