I personally dont think phpBB can handle what passionford needs from it.
Pet are you running the most up to date version of phpBB? I dont think its the equipment or the connection thats the problem - its simply the coding.
Pet maybe it might be worth asking the guys at phpBB if they could help with development in some way? There cant be that many sites that use phpBB that shift as much data as PF? Nothing to lose mate - everything to gain

191,468563 posts
1939153 registered users
Most users ever online was 32499
And lanzer, the owner, had to totally rewrite the search code too.

the 20 quid pails into insignificance as for what you'd save in a main dealer part swap session with these cars, problems we have are very rarely one offs and have been encountered before, the site allows past experience to be shared and discount on parts and group buys, etc etc to be pased on
, managing a 24/7 monitoring system myself at work, i KNOW what flack you get when it stops working ,BUT it does from time to time and does need attention, if this weren't the case there would be a lot of IT people with a lot of spare time on their hands. find me a computer system that needs no maintenence at all and i'll but you all a beer

I see only one PHPBB there - granted it's at the top but it's HEAVILY modified. It looks nothing like a phpbb board anymore doesn't act like one either. Oh and it's slow...
