CAstrol RS
anyone still use the 10-60 stuff? Or has most people changed?
GOt a tub of it hear but fancy swaping it or someone give me a couple of £ for it so i can try some of the Silkolean out. If not will just chuck it in as not as im going to be doing much miles in it this summer

Its ok Rich, though im up for trying this new stuff that everyone is raving about, though i dont want to not use this new tud of oil in the garage as would be a waste
One thing i find with CAstrol is it can leave the engine noise ish But mind im parinod about noise and if i could i would have a silent running engine (fook knows why i havea cossie then )

the best oil to use you will find is shell helix 10w/40 from shell garages,i know of several cossys and rst's that use it its really good stuff and is very good at keeping the oil pressure up to spec! i myself have a s2 and wouldnt use anything else! turbo technics recommend it as well other outlets

The problem with RS 10w-60 is it's very thick, wasting paower and you pay top prices for a petroleum based oil. You can get a proper fully synthetic for the same money like Silkolene PRO S.
IMHO, it's poor value for money

Silly question would it make the engine sound quiter etc or make the engine vunrable to mor ticking etc noises as its thiner? We are talking on a 2kmile engine now mind!
