Default How to change a turbocharger - the Gracey way

ok, as some of you mooselovers and gammon slipperites know, my turbo was very blue and poo - which you all (especially sticky icky paul) hated

so today, saw the new T3 fitted and aquitted
with a slightly interesting way.

why make life difficult in removing the old core from a housing you need to re-use on a workshop floor, when you can crack it off on the car

this old unit looks to have been nurning a bit of oil - well, it did smoke a bit on over-run

new one looks a lot better for itself, and was supposed to of been smoking when on boost - an inspection internally found no faults, so presumable the previous owners engine was expiring, however, that engine did expire shortly after it smoked on boost i am led to believe

How to prime your turbo - this important stage is often overlooked - ideal using a syrynge filled with fresh oil, as you can deliver some pressure to get the oil all round the bearings - did this a few times and then refitted everything else.

new -31 actuator (normal looking type) came with the turbo too - all is good and the turbo is no longer blue

thaarrr ya go hoes and skanks
