Default Parents ?!?!?!?

Rachel's folks have just found out through her sister telling tales that we are selling the nice sensible, mature transport in favour of another "XR" type Fiesta. Her dad was not happy when he found out the old car was a 1600 and even more so when he found out it was punting 130bhp out

What colour do you think he'll go when he hears "turbo" and "200bhp" in the same sentance for the new Fiesta

Good news is that despite them trying to talk her into a Rover she is now more determined than before to nustle her bottom in the Recaro of a Fiesta RS Turbo. That's my girl

Her mum's lovely but she seems to thing a Rover is some sort of status symbol I borrowed her Metro and when I turned the wipers on I could feel them moving through the pedals

Think we'll stick with a blue oval. Anyways you can't get shot of me that easy

Eleven years ago my dad told me I should sell my Sapph and get a family car.

I said Like a Sierra?

Didn't have much to say when I pointed out that I allready had a 4 door saloon.

Thank you ford for the most sensible silly car!

well my old man was happy as fook when he seen my 4 door sierra , was sooooo proud too, started telling me hes glad ive fonally grown up, he looked round it and said " i knew ya would add something , well at least ya thinking of the baby"

the then said he was gonna buy a sieera when i was little, blah blah blah

i asked he he wanted me to take him for a spin

first gear hes all calm , i hit boost, second gear on boost, all i can hear is my old man shouting at me " fooking hell, what the, fucking, i warning you,, ya better"

anyway i hit just over 90 and turned round when he got out and walked, he never spoke to me properly for 4 weeks

he no longer like the car and keeps tellling me tht im gona kill myslef in the car and has a go at me if i put Elise in the car

ive also took nikkis younger brother for a spin in it, ha he plays car games and loves fast and furious i thought io wouod really give it large

the fooked shit a brick, he actually tired to open the rear door as he was in the back and then i stopped as he started to cry and he told nikkis dad on me

strange thing is her old man just asked for the keys so he could have a play

I never forget my Dad picking my Turbo up for me and booting it from the Dartford toll-booths, I forgot to warn him about the fact it was about 180bhp and no LSD as standard!

He loves my car as much as me!

As said above - unless they're going to offer financial aid for her car, then you should get whatever you like!

Cheers,

Andy

Have you thought about tuning the hdi slightly instead

Mines currently running about 125bhp, and 1/4 mile in 16.5 seconds

With a intercooler, and a uprated turbo + injectors they can run 160bhp all day long

Not quite as fuck fun as a rs turbo, but more reliable and cheaper to run

No they aint paying for it. In fact I'm paying for it so really I should get myself a nice sensible Saph Cossie

Lent my mum the RS and she tried to pull out onto a large roundabout with my bro (who was then only about 16). She pulled into a small gap so burried her foot then the turbo spooled up and lit the front tyres up She won't go near it now.

About 4 years ago when I had an operation to thin the tendons in my ankle.
I got put into plaster for a month so I couldn't drive my then S2 of 200bhp.

So I got my old man to take it for a run down the motorway. Knowing that the turbo spooled up at about 80mph i told him to put his foot down and as much as he crapped himself he always asks if we can go out in my S1 now and that's a hell of alot quicker. I am going to take him as a passenger to a track day next year whether he likes it or not
