Apart from the usual paper-round, the first job I had was the best job for a 15/16/17 year old into car stuff!!
I used to work evenings at the local indoor Kart track. Challenger 2000 in Chessington. (Been bulldozed years ago now though).
Was a good laugh, marshalling the race meetings and arrive n' drives. Some nights, when the boss was feeling kind, (or usually when we'd closed and he'd gone home early for the night) we would be allowed a 'burn'. Basically all the marshalls would grab a kart and go crazy for 15 minutes. Wrong way around circuit, stand on front of kart and lift rear end so it doughnuts, play 'tag' whilst driving about which involves throwing an old tyre at other ppl in karts, if you hit them with the tyre, then they are 'it'. etc. Properly dangerous, but fun!
Pay was shite though, were talking about 9/10 yrs ago and I was getting about £2 an hour for what was pretty hard, noisy, dirty work.

My brother used to be a Pizza Hut delivery boy on one of thoes little scooter bikes. Came home with a pizza every night he worked.
After a couple of weeks of re-heating pizza in the microwave you soon get sick of the stuff.

First job eh?
Blow job, was brilliant
Seriously though, i was 15 and i got a job as fabricator at a steel yard where my dad used to work driving the trucks. Used to pull the trucks in and out, fabricate foundation cages, bend/cut/wld steel, drive the crane.
Was good fun
