My bike has a seperate oiltank and there's a breather on top of it.
I just rode home after sorting out my clutch and refilling the primarycase with gearoil when all of the sudden the backend stepped out on 3 sucsesive corners...it felt right wobbly on the straight as well so I stopped to check if anyhting was wrong to find the backend of the bike covered in oil!!!

Turns out it was PISSING out of the breather for the oiltank....the only thing I can think of is that I overfilled the gearoil and somehow under pressure it forces it way into the block hence it overflowing???

Doesn't sound all that logical to me but can't think of anyhting else....

ANYONE?!

Sounds like you pinched the hose from the crankcase vent and maybe blew out the countershaft seal

nope, checked the breather and it's fine...

 

UH-OH.....its starting to smell expensive

if you are getting SERIOUS crankcase pressure and your vent is not restricted....my next guess would be.........RINGS

 

Seems that the cranckseal has blown due to overfilling the primary case...

 

That's still a whole lot cheaper and easier than rings
