MACAW NOW HAS A NEW LOVING HOME... THANKS EVERYONE!!
She is in need of a new home bless her!
She was a rescue bird.... she has plucked her feathers off her chest bless her cos the people who used to own her didnt have a clue! but they have started to grow back nicely now!
She needs someone with a bit of patience!
Her mummy and daddy have split up and neither of them are in a position to look after her any more....
Shes a lovely girl called Lill... 6 years old she likes the men better than the ladies! lol
She would come with her cage and stand and toys.....
If you or you know anyone who might want to give her a loving home... let me know.

Awwwwwwwww, that's sad that is. Such a shame
Parrots can be hard work. We have a Blue and Gold Maccaw too, we are lucky. He is pretty good. We can leave him at home all day and he just makes himself look pretty. Doesn't pull his feathers out or anything.
Good luck in finding her a good home

That's mainly our fault I think because we don't really spend enough time with him, but we kind of have a mutual understanding in the house... We know each other exists and it's just better that way PMSL
Ours was living with a female parrot for 2 years from birth/ hatching before we got him, so he had very little human interaction while young which didn't help.
But you are right, excellent pets, this is our 4th Blue and Gold. They all had very different personalities. I would love to look after Lill, but we just haven't got the time

My pals last bird had the habit of saying "arseholes" at the most inappropriate times..lol. It said it in the exact voice of my pals sister who used to look after him when my pal was working away.

Just a thought...
We have owned many cockatiels (lots of them rescued) over the last 20 years... Some have been hand-reared, some not...
If she is relatively tame, we would love to have her as we have no birds at the mo due to the last one recently dying of old age!!
Good points are that we live in a small village in 6 bed detached and our previous birds (that were tame) were never caged and welcome to roam the house as we have no other animals... My father runs his business from home so provided daytime company for the cockatiels that would just sit on him all day!!
In the evenings, i return from work with my partner!!
If you have problems moving her on, let me know... (you would be welcome to have alook where she would be going!!)
It is important that she is relatively tame though as we do not really like keeping them in cages!!

Dogues are great.. very gentle, dosile, great with kids but that can be very protective too!
there is a dogue rescue society who you can find throught these
http://www.doguedebordeauxclub.co.uk/
the main problems they suffer with are breathing and skin related things... but touch wood... mine has never had any of these!
they really are good dogs to go for!
