You all need a fooking slap

I said IF you design your own suspension it could be dangerous as you are not designers.....in the end Broomy actually answered by saying its all copied from pro designs..so i can see the reyland crash wasnt a design fault..Thanks broomy if you had the common sense to answer as a genuine question in the first place your blood pressure wouldnt be so high

One day people will actually realise they are just too uptight

wtf do you think a wrc back end is something that is jsut made up from fooking bars and no thought gone into it

all you know is , "koni's are cool"

theres that many peeps i know in the motorsport and most are very helpfull infact nearly all of them and Dome being one of them

you stick to your standard beam /arms and rubber bushes and show us the way home on track

do you know what causes understeer on a cossy ??

i'll tell you on my next post and then you will wonder why peeps change things for

Brom, I think IMA is getting at a 'liability' point of view. (what with injury lawyers direct etc)

If you've copied someone elses physics so the geometry is sound, then it's more a question of 'are you qualified to manufacture suspension?'

I don't want to defend him but I think that's the jist of it.

I personally have no problem with your welding, you seem to be very capable, and if/when I need a rear beam I'll be coming to see you.

HOLD ON!!!

did you read the bit that says - I personally have no problem with your welding, you seem to be very capable

No one would or has criticised the quality of your work, every picture I have seen of your welding looks heavy duty, overkill as you say, from the pre ZOO days to the WRC rear end.

Just some people (insurance companies for example) might want to see a qualification.

Hell, I can weld but I'm looking at going to college to get a qualification on paper!

Immy LOL

this just proves to me that you really know nothing suppension/handling

for a start, on the rd your car would not stay with me around bends never mind on a track and mine is a road car

because i got hard suppension the car you think the car is like a bone shaker , i'm not goting to waste my time giving you free info or explain anything because you wouldn't understand anyway

Bilstien do that many loads of different setting poundage/ rebound speeds you wouldn't get your breath .

it took me 3 to 4 times to get the suppension they way i like it and nobody else (personal choice)... so it's not that harsh on the road but will be ok on the track and do you know what else makes a massive differance that you don't know ..... is having the right poundage spring on the right shock and the right lenth you think you can just harden your springs and it will work

it won't because it won't match your rebound speed of your shocks

Brom's car is a track car so it doesn't matter how hard is

so there you go Syphlis

At least you're honest about it!

Brom- I didn't know you had official qualifications, at least customers know your stuff is welded properly and 'to spec'. I didn't mean to offend with the 'hold on', but I know from personal experience you can get a little carried away.

Brom, what are the diffs from on the Zoo rear beams?

XJ6/S/12/40??

Does the WRC use the same diff and is it in production yet?

a road car to me is a road car...how fast could you possibly drive 600plus on the road? ...Its only a power figure to me ..Purely wasted TBH ROFL

For PROPER speed my Ducati is the ONLY thing to own on a public highway IMO

i can use any diff made to suit
but i use the 10 inch gkn diff out the late xj 40 s and the xk8 xkr carsfor couple of resons
1st its the same family off diffs as used on the skyline but the jag is way bigger
2nd its the easyest to get the corect ratio with a lsd in it they come with a plated powerlock lsd

i am not making these (yet!) and don’t think that a wrc set up is worth the hassle for track use and because suspension travel is quite limited on smooth circuits i reckon my set up will work just fine... rallying on the other hand is a different ballgame:

just a sec i need to step onto my soap box.... right on it now. a post like this really pisses me off... why? because unless you actually name the person/company involved in making the said beam then you cast a doubt on others doing the same thing... the first person i thought of was brom because he does this kind of work and that's not fair. so i reckon you should name or remain silent, rant over!

I think i said it all when i said it Looked identical to the Bayjoo thing on Mikes website , i found it wasn't satisfactory for my needs and sold it on .
I'd no idea what it was supposed to be and had considered it was a homemade item until i saw it on the website but because i had little info i left it at that , my post wasn't designe d to create ructions , i leave that to others !

tony knows i havnt sold him a beam so am in the clear
i 1st made my beam with the jag diff in when mark k gave me a few ideas when i kept blowing diffs up
this was nearly 2 yrs ago
i basicly copied a factory rs500 beam with the add on bits and made a jig to suit
i also made the fully rose jointed aswell
until we started zoo i never seen a bayoo beam in my life until we was doing warrens car
the beams are simalr but arms totally diffent
i acutlly got the strapping idea from a beam me and marco acuttly bought from tony aswell
