they abandoned the last two stages on day 2 as duval crashed causing amassive fire causing a huge delay and then the spectators started to go home along the last stage on day 2 so that was deemed unsafe

fire is the worst thing that most of us who run rally cars fear - if you crash , ok it may cost you a shell, and a few bolt on bits , if it burns , there fook all left

i dunno but it went up pretty quick

as a result of that the last few drivers on the stage could not get past and one of went on some little trail to get to the service park on the other side of the island. In the meantime the last stage continued and after about 6 or so drivers had gone out it was this other guy's turn but he was still on his mad little mission to make it back so everything got delayed. Eventually he turned up and the last stage continued but by now the spectators on the last stage had thought it had been abandoned so started to make their way home on the stage

the safety car went out but could not get people off the stage so it was abandoned.
