Default Question on on Bold tyres

Ok it sounds worse then it is basicly i have park the cossie up for now as the MOT has run out But as i have No drive its park on the road (still tax'd for 3 more months)
Im doing the parts that need doing for the mot bit by bit (not to much to do tho) So as i got a Pug 306 s16 to run around in i thought i'd use my super t's off the cossie on the pug (as there are for a pug to start with ect) But the old cossie rims i have spare are ok but 1 is bold as fu!k
Will i have any problems with old bill as its on the road ect even tho im not driving it any where and when i do it will have the super t's back on it

And the wheels do look good on the pug Needs lowering tho

Not sure about the bald tyres bit although I would of thought if it was on the road you could still get done .....

Pug looks nice with those wheels on it

i dont think you can get done as no one is driving it.

just leave it and get it sorted before you take it out.

id say the opposite and say yes in theory you could get done, to have illegal tyres it would need to be SORN wouldnt it, but then you'd need it off the road
v.unlikely old bill is gonna check the tyres on a parked car though...just put the wheel straight so tread (or lack of!) isnt showing and park it against the curb.

To be on the road whether being driven or just parked you need:

Tax
Insurance
Mot
And the car has to be roadworthy, so if its failed an Mot its probably not.

SORN only applies with NO Tax, and then it has to be standing off the road.

I had a MK2 Cortina parked outside my house down a quite side street years ago that had no tax/MOT. Came home from work one day to find i had been nicked for "keeping an unroadworthy vehicle on the public highway".............didn't make any differance to the old bill that it didn't have an engine so i couldn't use it anyway!!!!!!
