The E46 M3 is great, that noise and rev, rev and more revs.

Id take one over any big power cossie tbh and when i first drove one i thought yes my cossie is quicker-which it is but these BMW's are just so easy to look after and the fact is -is that the M3 is as nice to drive at 30 as it is at 130.Nuff said.

Thats why im buying a E39 M5
Still like cossies though, but no as much as these

Ooh I love all this talk about Cossies and M3`s racing!!!!!!!

However I dont think they are as quick as you lot are making out

My mate has one in Alpina White , Full Magnex system and uprated throttle bodies and I absolutely twanged him in my Stage 3 Saff.

But its a completely different type of power IMO. M3`s are a smooth but strong power ....they dont snap ya fooking neck like a Cossie would

But still a lovely car anyway

I love posts like this

Lots of quotes like "my mate" and "pulling away"

But mainly the posts are full of "bullshit bullshit" In fact I think another PF user met you guys the other day Thread here

Ask any girl (with a brain) what she'd rather be seen in saff taxi or E46 M3.

Game over

Yes, the package is good, but you pay for that. What they cost £30,000 to £40,000? I’d like to see a BMW M3 driver stick his car into the B road corners with total commitment, the way I stick My Escort Cossie into the corners. I know if I ditch it, it’s not a lot of money, and I could rebuild it. But to ditch a £30K to £40K car into the hedge, I think not. It’s more image and straight line speed than corners.

As for Rich w, some of us drive our cars, and don’t need them to pull girls

Keep telling yourself that. Keep telling yourself....

That doesn't make any sense Presumably your Escos is FC insurance. As would be a E46. So if you crash it you get the money back. Simple. If, as I suspect, you dont have the driving ability to drive a Real WD car hard, and that includes keeping your corner speed high, then may I suggest you keep the Escos.

And please dont tell me you wouldn't like a little bit of female attention. Or are you

An m3 joined the motorway (m1 north) at the same time as me a few months ago. Me in my little zetec-s, ragging the hell out of it as always. The m3 obviously made me look like i was standing. i don't think i've ever seen anything so quick, certainly not on the roads anyway. seen plenty of fast fords (cossies, rs turbos, etc) etc giving it up the motorway. i love them!
