Default Why don't some engine builders check little ends....

Had a rebuild from scs in 6k

then it was rebuilt - everything checked apart from pulling the head off and taking the pistons out.

I found that the oil spray bar was blocked and the sump was full of swarf.
Run up on the dyno like this...

So now after 2.3k the little ends knock.....

Either they where never checked and replaced at original build or the run on the dyno has fucked em.

Either way its very poor....

Karl said they should be ok but needs addressing as soon as possible.....

So I paid SCS to rebuild an engine that failed down to a mapping issue caused by someone i paid to map it only to pay to have it rebuild and mapped proffessionally and properly once again...

Had my cozzy rods re-little ended ! by Farndon

So easy to neglect the bearing surface and "assume" them to be fine !

I had my little ends replaced due to me previous experience's with two-stroke motor bike engines (little end bearings are a major wear item on a two stroke engine)

Dingy as you should know by now you recived a lot of bullshit from that company and yes your above statement is that also,
The only time Mad tony,s or any of my engine where there was when they where being run on the dyno and never at any other time.

Mark, you said to me in person in the most arrogant of fashions - cams are secret.

Be a standard exhaust and k2 inlet, i saw the parts and saw the engine.

be the same shite map also, deny all you want but the engine will be this spec

Nick's head - 27mm inlet
K2 inlet
standard zorst
200block - 6 long studs
standard oil pump with uprated spring
blues
t34.63

And i can bet its EXACTLY the same map that was in my engine.

Bullshit aside, but you will deny this, but whne 2 engines are being built then one makes 1 bhp more than the other with exactly the same curves for torque and bhp, its the same engine - can't see it any other way to be honest.

Not looking for an arguement to be honest - but YUM has to step on the band wagon....

TO be honest mate unless you are there when they build the engine you have no fucking idea what they do or don't do.

Bit like tony mapping nutters air injectors and not changing the map and charging him ? WTF after charging him 5k to fit super 8 and map it.....

Really fed up

That sadly doesnt surprise me - it seems that this kind of service is accepted in the tuning world. I'm sure that there ARE exceptions, but it appears that this kind of thing happens a lot.

Dingy - you saying that the little ends were fooked by det?

Neil.

Dingy your wrong on just about all the parts, My head spec is not that big, Inlet cam is also very diff, Turbo on that day was also diff, it was a Roller bearing front with a larger comp wheel but this was changed about 1 week after the dyno as it surged like a bastid, if you over laid the boost graph you would see that lower down it would have been using less boost than yours as it was surging,
The Injectors were also flat out and was running 12.6afr at max power,
Ahmed mapped it so the base map would have been the same to start,
Dont you realise by now you were fed so much shit you were swiming in it You also know now the hard way also I bet you would not want to add it up and you are still paying the price now all those years down the line.

Doesn't

A use it
B track it...

Tony was sound, not getting me to disrespect him or his car so please...

If would have asked mark to do it at the same time as harvey i would have paid 6k instead of 4.3k for the same engine which was my point.

Mark, sorry but I don't believe you or scs so it makes no odds.....i know what i saw at scs.....i know it made the same power, surely it would be different if the spec was different ?

Dingy remember you saw what he showed you but was it actuly Tony's graph,
Also You have seen how my engines have performed over the years and they have always been complety diff than his, So you are telling me that he is making my engines better than his
Maybe in the future you will come to see all that you were told was just as it looks bullshit, This is not having a go at you only your belives at what you shit you have been feed.

Glad you know what your talking about there mate.....

30 mins on any track is more than 100 lauch's in the street mate.....

No offense to Yum or mark but mad tony's car mapped by ahmed with 406 bhp is faster 0-60 0-100 and 1/4 than yums mapped by mark....

Mark, are you saying it didn't make 406.....if i could possibly trust you then i would send you my map as it was on the dyno then you could compare, if its the same ahmed map it will be identical - BUT this will never happen.

Why is that then ?

What are marks professional qualifications, then i will compare to my choice.

Not a piss take...

And if some fucker says he hit 200mph at brunters then i am defo not using him cause i don't want that with my car so its irrelevant.

My car was only test once for 0-60 0-100 and 1/4 for Performance ford at Brunters then the 60,000 mile standard box that was fucked gave up on marks launch.

But once l get the uprated box l will smash my times set at brunters
I hope you do mate, as those time you have got soe far are pretty lame for the power....bit like mine
