Default WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY INDICATOR?!

Ive got really big problems with my indocators in my MK3 Fez.

When i indicate left - it works perfectly, but when i indicate right, it doesnt always work and does that double time ticking noise like a light is out. But when i checked - none of them are working...?

Ive changed the relay box (or whatever you call it) and ive changed all the bulbs on the right hand side - what else could it be???!!!?

When you say it doesn't always work, do you mean when it does work it works ok?

Is the problem that it goes on, then goes off, then goes on, then goes off? Typical Bird No clue

Change the stalk IMO Probably not making the right connections internally

Thats actually quite quick for a bloke!!!! Im impressed...
But funnily enough - thats not the problem - but now youve made me aware, ill keep an eye out for that on off problem just in case!

No, sometimes it works properly and it works fine. Then when i indicate right the next time, it might do that thing i said and not work at all.
Basically it just works when it wants and doesnt work when it feels like as well!!!

Its driving me crazy and i really need to stop using my hazards to turn right! (cos they work perfectly by the way)!??!!

Only thing i can suggest is trying a new indicator stalk.

I had this on mine once, and it turned out to be dirty contacts in the switch.

A change cured it for me. Just a thought.....

Sorry but PMSL after the "on off" indicator/female comments
How does using hazards help you turn right?

Because making some sort of indication rather than just turning and having someone go into the side of me is better than nothing! Duh brain!!!

Stick your arm out the window to turn right.

And I stand by my comment about indicator stalk needing replacing. Hazards IIRC have a different relay so thats why they still work

Ah ha - now im getting somewhere with someone who KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT!!!!

Yeah i would stick my arm out the window but that means driving around with the window down all the time... Im not one for that if its cold or raining - even if i do have a heater, id rather do my hazard thing!

So just need a new indicator stalk then...?

Yeah thats really clever
When you last saw someone sitting in the road with their hazards on, did you think to stop as they might be turning right, or did you carry on because you thought they had broken down?

You may want to check the highcode too, you shouldnt use hazards when moving unless you are being towed

Change the Indicator Stalk. It comes as a whole unit with wiper stalk attached as well. Will solve your problem

Not true, you should use an 'ON TOW' sign when your being towed. How are people supposed to know which way you are going when you're being towed if you have the hazards on ??

[/hi-jack]

Can't help with the indicator thing
